Badger Hockey Opens WCHA play with a SWEEP of Michigan Tech

The Wisconsin Badger hockey team has the 2004-05 season off to a good start. This past weekend at the Kohl Center, the Badgers opened up WCHA play with a two game sweep of Michigan Tech.

On Friday night, the Badgers were down early 2-0. But Bucky exploded for four goals in the second period to claim a 7-3 victory.

On Saturday night, the Badgers shut-out the Huskies 3-0. With the two game sweep, the Badgers are 4-0-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the WCHA.

The season is only two weeks old and there is alot of hockey to be played this year. The Badgers will face their first tough test of the young season next weekend(Oct 29-30) when the defending NCAA Champions Denver Pioneers come to town for a series.
