Basketball Clinches BACK to BACK TITLES

Take that Illinois, Michigan State and the rest of you PRETENDERS in the Big Ten, who felt that the Badgers share of the conference championship last year was a fluke. On Wednesday night, March 5th, Bo Ryan and his squad proved everyone WRONG as the they defeated Ilinois by the score 0f 60-59 to win their first back to back conference championships since 1923/24.

The game was a great one from start to finish. It finished even greater for the Badgers, as Devin Harris drained two free throws with for tenhs of a second remining to give Wisconsin the victory. the victory gave the Badgers a record of 22-6 overall and 12-4 in the conference.

By winning the regular season championship, the Badgers are virtually guaranteed a bid to the NCAA tournament, regardless of what they do in the Big Ten post season tournament.
