VICTORY SUITS TAYLOR- LEADS #3 BADGERS OVER #5 BUCKEYE'S 72-69

This is a week "Thee Ohio State" fans would like to forget. Monday night the top ranked Buckeye's football team lost the national championship to the Florida Gators. Tuesday night was no better for Ohio State fans as the #3 Badgers basketball team led by Kammron Taylor's 25 pts and the "Grateful Red" fans dispatched the #5 Buckeye's at the Kohl Center 72-69.

In keeping with Bo Ryans philosophy of making more free throws then the other team attempts. The badgers were close as they were 17-29 at the line and Ohio St was 11-18.

Taylor led the Badgers at the line too by hitting 12-16 free throws The problem though is as a team 17-29 at the line is .586% and almost cost the Badgers this one. The Badgers had a 10-point lead with 54 seconds left but saw it shrink to two points before a free throw by senior Kammron Taylor and a last-second three-point miss by Buckeyes junior Jamar Butler allowed Wisconsin to escape with its 12th straight victory.

Even though his line may not show it Jason Chappell had a nice game against the all-world center prodigy for the Buckeye's, Greg Oden. Oden has all the obvious physical tools but not the game to match it yet. This wasn't stopping Big Ten referee's in this game from giving him the "star" touch treatment on fouls.

National Player of the Year candidate, forward Alando Tucker, added 17 points, six rebounds and four assists for Wisconsin. "It was a great team effort", Tucker said. "Marcus Landry stepped up and Joe Krabbenhoft was solid, and defensively for the most part we did well."

Landry recorded all four of his blocks and all four of his rebounds in the second half and was part of the 21-5 run that allowed the Badgers to turn a 36-36 tie into a 57-41 lead with 9 minutes and some change left. This was a lead Wisconsin would never relinquish with a little help from Taylor and The Grateful Red.
