It was a good thing this game was played in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.... It was really cold up there in Minnesota... The Badgers brought back the big 1 point win! Those Badgers really know how to keep the fans on edge for four quarters of football, what a game! If you saw the Redwear staffers, you might have noticed the new #33 Hat that was being worn or the Heavy Weight Large W Swoosh Sweatshirts the staffers were wearing. People kept asking where do I get one of those Sweatshirts? We handed out almost 8,000 of RedWear MAGNETS!!!

For the third straight season the Badgers defeated Minnesota on Saturday in Minneapolis to retain possession of Paul Bunyan's Axe. Ron Dayne led the way, rushing the ball 40 times for 183 yards. The Badgers scored first but Minnesota battled back to take a 8-7 lead. Wisconsin led 13-8 at half time. But Minnesota rallied again in the third quarter to take a 21-13 lead. Ron Dayne scored in the fourth quarter for the Badgers to give them the lead at 22-21.

The Badgers stopped Minnesota on their next possession and ran out the final four minutes and 30 seconds to secure their seventh overall win of the season and a post-season bowl bid. Wisconsin is idle next week. They return to action in two weeks against Iowa at Camp Randall Stadium.
